The Alexander Technique is a practical way of learning how to come back to yourself—out of habit, tension and distraction, and into the immediacy of the present moment.
Yes, it improves posture, balance and ease of movement, but those are really side‑effects of something more fundamental: discovering how to stop interfering with your natural mind-body coordination. In an introductory workshop, people often find that their bodies reorganise, their thinking sharpens, and a surprising clarity of mind and body emerges. It’s a simple, embodied route to living more fully in the here‑and‑now.
This is suitable for everyone from complete ‘beginners’ to Alexander teachers and trainees.
When? Saturday April 25th, 2pm to 5pm
Where? South Bank Alexander Technique Centre, Blackfriars Rd London SE1
Cost? £50.

When he isn’t teaching, Peter builds wooden boats and then rows, paddles and sails them.
